Dear V,
Oh Dah-Boo-Pee, today you did something so "big girl," and I'm so proud of you! You came into the kitchen; I was preparing chicken for empanadas. You grabbed your plate and put it in the floor. Its funny now thinking about it. But it was the best way of showing Mommy that you wanted to eat. So I took out some left over spaghetti and meatballs. You ate maybe two spoons and then saw a Ring Pop on the table and wanted that. So you cried. Then you refused to eat. I was happy for that little moment thinking you were going to finally eat! I was wrong. Lol. I did not give you the candy, if that's what you're wondering. Instead you left your high chair with a piece of bread and walked towards the sound of Thomas the Tank Engine blowing his horn. Maybe you'll eat the empanada once I'm done making it.

Surprise Hug
Dear V,
About 3 days ago I was putting you to sleep. We were on the couch, in the living room, and you just finished your milk. You reached your hands out and pull my head closer and gave me a big hug! It was so wonderful. It made mommy so happy! I gave you kisses and you gave more hugs. It was a mommy's wish come true :) Pure love! It was so cute. I love you poopy girl. I have to change your diaper. :)

"At the Eucharist"
Hey V,
We're at the Eucharist. Oh what's that? Why am I writing to you then? Well, my dear, you and I aren't sitting in our places. You can't sit still, especially since Abu Abu is here. All you want to do is run up to him and stay with him.
So now since you can't sit in peace mommy has to walk around with you and find something for you to do. Luckily, we're at the basement of the school. So we walked to the principle's office, down the hallway, walked on top of tables, checked out art supplies, like Pom poms, googlely eyes, pulled some paper out of the bathroom and threw it in the trash, and back to sit down for the Eucharist and you weren't having it. So back to the principle's office we went and you found a microwave. You loved that thing! Lol it kept you entertained while I wrote this lol. Then we played with a model doll of the inside of the body. You weren't too interested. Now you're playing with the only toy I had in my bag, because I switched bags. A blue hippo.
I knew it wasn't such a good idea to bring you, but I really didn't have much of a choice. That's okay. I still love you :) and I always will! I don't know what it is, but a mom can't stay mad at her baby ever! Maybe it's because you're so cute! Lol I love you muah!

You are Becoming a Big Girl!
Hey V!
You're becoming a big girl now. It's been a few weeks already since you've stopped drinking your milk from a sippy cup. Well it's a, you know I'll just take a picture and show you.
Also, daddy finally put up the bed rail so it's easier for you. You hate being trapped in your crib lol. You went on top of the bed and immediately lied down. You loved the fact that you were able to get up and out on your own.
Oh and you call me Mae instead Mommy.

"A mulher do Dedo" lol
Dear V,
It's 8:27 A.M. and The Cat in the Hat Know a lot about That is coming up next on KIDSThirteen (13.2). You like the song they sing before going on an adventure. Here we go, go, go, go, on an adventure. That's how it starts off. :) So yesterday we went to Walmart and we bought you a shopping cart! I can't believe how cheap it was. I had that on your Christmas Wishlist, from Toys R Us. I have to take it off now. I want to go take a family picture at the studio for Christmas cards.
Anyway back to the shopping cart. lol You filled it up with things and you were also playing with the doll stroller (which I should put another on your wishlist, because the one you have is rip because you sit on it). Abu Abu said you looked like "a mulher do dedo." Hahahaha! It was a nicer way of saying you looked like a homeless person. That's about it. :)

Thomas Toothbrush!
Hey Water Girl!
Lol, that's what Abu Abu called you (Menina da Agua). You love to drink water. That's a good thing though, because water is good for you anyway. Yesterday you and I went to Pathmark and did a little shopping. I found a coupon for a Spinbrush! I read somewhere that having you picked the brush would help you want to brush your teeth. It also helps if the brush spins so you can get a better clean and probably think it's cool. So I we were looking for one that you would like. All the had was a Princess Cinderella one (that wasn't on sale, so forget her lol), Dora the Explorer (you don't even know who she is, because we can't afford cable), and I think that was it. All the other ones were for boys. So I picked a dolphin one because it could be for a girl and it didn't have to be from TV. Until I found one that I know you were going to like! There's two, there's four, there's six, there's eight.... Thomas the tank engine! You love that show and especially the theme song. I sang parts of the song (because I still haven't mastered it) and you were so happy. So we took that one. The best thing was that it was on sale plus I had a coupon for it. :) Go Mommy!
Today you used it and liked it! So I'm glad we got it. I still have to take a picture to show you.

October Snow Day 2011
Dear V,
So the other day Oct. 29th, a Saturday, it mysteriously snowed! We didn't do much that day. We did, though, go outside. I thought it would be nice for you to check it out for the first time. Even though you've "seen" snow when you were a little itty bitty baby lol, you didn't know what it was. So I told Daddy we were going to have fun in the snow and he wanted to come too. He went downstairs, to the basement, and got the sled we bought at Unique (one of Mommy's favorite stores :)) and he strapped you in. It was SO cold! We went to the parking lot and moved you around. You didn't want to touch the snow. I don't know if it was because it was cold or just because it was something you've never experienced. Then we went inside because your little hands were freezing! You refused to put on gloves.
The next day you went outside with Abu Abu and you walked on the snow and liked stepping on it. Here's a picture of our little fun moment.

Halloween 2011
Happy Halloween V!
We had a nice time going Trick-or-Treating today. You dressed as a lion, I dressed as a person from the 80's and I convinced Daddy to wear his work clothes. He looked like a construction worker more than a carpenter. We went to John & Emilia's house to see if Joey wanted to go with us, but they already had left to go. Jenny was working and Dominick stayed late in school, because he wouldn't tattle-tale on Patrick.Anyway, we went on Davis St. and then to the street Rosania & Edmar live on. I don't remember the name. Then we went down the street before that one, I don't remember the name either lol. Then back to Davis, but the other side. We filled our bag!

We got home and Abu Abu liked your costume. Then we went to Tia Telma's house and we ate there. Well Mommy and Daddy ate. Tia Telma made some stir fry rice with veggies and tofu. Tio Alex didn't like it, but ate it. Daddy didn't even eat it because it had tofu, mushrooms, and onions. I didn't think it was bad.You had fun trying to shove the pacifier in Kaleb's mouth and smacking the dogs, Astro & Fraiser, once in a while. You also had candy and that made you poop. lol You're probably thinking, ew mom that's gross, does the whole world need to know that? lol I love you poopy girl!!
We came home, after watching some TV Daddy decided to put on the Jesus Wonder DVD that Fr. Ramon gave to you. You watch a little and fell asleep. So here I am writing to you and here you are next to me asleep. Daddy fell asleep too and I'm sure Abu Abu is sleeping too. I guess I should do the same and just come back tomorrow. I love you forever and ever, amen! MUAH Beijinhas para ti Dah-Boo-Pee! E um xi muito grande!

"Sweet 16"
Dear V,
It's your Sweet 16 today! 16 months old. I decided to write this a few days ago, but I wanted to wait until this date. :) I also thought it would be cool to do a blog about you. Then i thought to myself, I don't want to pretend to be you. Instead, I rather be mommy and write a history book (blog) about you, Princess V. Even though you only know Portuguese, you will know English once you get to school and after a few years you'll read this and understand.
So I just put you down for your nap and you fell fast asleep. Of course, you went out for a walk with Abu Abu. :) You have that he always takes you out, because he knows you get bored at home. You drank your milk and fell asleep.
Mommy just came back from grocery shopping. I can't wait to take you our Trick-or-Treating tomorrow. I'm going to dress you up in a Lion costume, that was handed down. Thanks Ethan! I think I've decided to dress up as an 80's lady, because that what I love! lol. I'm not sure if Daddy's going to dress up, but hopefully he'll be in the Halloween spirit!
I'm going to do some things now, and I'll come back to write some more to you. I love you with all my heart Dah-Boo-Pee!
